The traditional way to enjoy our fine cuisine is to order a banquet to share and enjoy the tastes of up to fourteen dishes. Or simply order our individual mains. Please take into consideration our chefs recommendations below.
Chef’s recommendations:
Chef Rita highly recommends El-Phoenicians Shawarma (lamb marinated in wine and herbs, served on a sizzling plate).
To accompany this delicacy a side order of Kabeess (pickled anti pasta), tahini sauce and grilled bread.
The secret is the marinade and the tempering during cooking.
Kitchen
"Each mouthful offers a flavorful explosion of lemon, lime and fresh herbs…..
The menu is a mouth watering cornucopia of Middle Eastern delicacies. The rich Lebanese dishes are infused with distinct Mediterranean twists that are unique to El-Phoenician.”
“Sass” 2006
As mentioned, El-Phoenician specialises in three areas of cuisine- traditional Lebanese, seafood delicacies and our highly popular grill.
Our meals are prepared by the hands of our fine chefs using the freshest produce, traditional know how and their own signature touch.
Having the kitchen divided as such, means you have chefs specializing in their particular category. They fine tune and perfect each recipe bringing to your table nothing but the finest.
Seafood
Our seafood chef Belinda would definitely select her Barramundi fillets.
“They’re prepared with salt, white pepper and lemon juice and are later doused in a white wine, butter and lemon juice reduction (beau blanc).”
This special is then served with a rocket, parmesan and semi-dried tomato salad and roasted vegetables.
Grill
As recommended by Raymond.
The Shish Tawouk (skewered chicken breast) is definitely our top seller. A fine marinade using our favorite spices, olive oil, tomato puree, a hint of garlic and a touch of wine, tenderizes and adds an intense flavour to the chicken. Served with our rocket salad and grilled bread.
